Kids & Co Board

The Board was elected on 4th April 2008 for the current legislative period. The Association has 74 members at present. Both natural persons as well as corporate bodies may become members. Membership applications should be filed in writing with the Board. Minors require the written consent of their legal representatives to become members.

Steffi Märker

Chairwoman of the Board

Born in Dresden in 1959; studied journalism, worked as an editor; initiator and founding member of the Association KIDS & CO, Chairwoman from the very beginning; since 1998 project manager and coordinator of the vocational project “Sprungbrett/Globus”; since 2003, responsible for international projects.

Ulrike Heß

Deputy Chairwoman

Born 1960; trained in business management in civil aviation; in charge of the children’s meeting place SONNENECK from 1997 to 2005; and since 2001 coordinator of social group work; since 2005 self-employed providing office services; member of the Board since 2008.

Ingo Voigt


Born in Berlin in 1971; toolmaker; 1993 to 1996 youth counsellor at the KIDS & CO leisure time facility HULTSCHI; caretaker for housing administration: member of the Board since 1994.

Cornelie Grimm

Advisory member of the Board

Born in Berlin in 1952; diploma as a teacher and diploma as a social worker; employed as a social worker with the District Council of Marzahn-Hellersdorf. In 1995, briefly deputy project manager with HULTSCHI; member of the Board since 2000.

Monika Kunze

Advisory member of the Board

Born in Cottbus in 1955, studied at the Sports College (DHFK) in Leipzig, diploma as a teacher; since 1998, head of SENFTE 10; member of the Board since 2008.

Markus Heinze

Advisory member of the Board

Born in Berlin in 1989; teacher; grew up with the leisure-time offers of KIDS& CO, supports the work of the Association with sports projects voluntarily since the age of 18. Worked as a European Volunteer in Luxembourg for a year, subsequently qualified as a EuroPeer and passes on his knowledge about opportunities for young people within the EU to his peers. Member of the Board since 2012.
